The Values Game

A friend in class mentioned The Values Game on the Coach Lee web site. It was so fun, even my eight year old and six year old daughters loved it. A simple concept, it walks you through choosing and describing what is most important to you, and which of your values float to the top as real priorities. My mom also tried it out and sent it on to some friends.

What I liked most was that each of us had different values, but since all the ones on the list were good ones, we were able to respect each others’ choices. My favorite moment was when my six year old had chosen fame and recognition as two of her values, but then later narrowed them off her list in favor of friendship and cooperation. Her comment, “I WANT them, but they’re not THAT important.”
